”Mă bucur că am ajuns la ultima etapă cu șanse de playoff… Mici, e adevărat, dar sunt șanse. Am spus că ne vom bate până în ultima etapă și iată că sunt cinci echipe care se bat pentru două locuri. Campionatul chiar a fost unul nebun. Am spus că avem șanse mici pentru că suntem realiști, jucăm cu adversarul cel mai greu dintre toate cele cinci echipe cu șanse la playoff. Pe lângă asta, depindem și de celelalte rezultate, în cazul în care vom câștiga. Am vorbit cu băieții, cât de mică este șansa, trebuie să ne batem până la capăt. Putem face surpriza. Și sezonul trecut am câștigat acolo când nimeni nu se aștepta”, a declarat Măldărășanu.
De la retrogradarea din Liga 1 la lupta pentru un loc în playoff, FC Hermannstadt a parcurs un drum încărcat de provocări și transformări. Antrenorul echipei subliniază că este normal să fie așteptări mari, dar că performanța nu poate fi obținută peste noapte. Este nevoie de timp și răbdare pentru a construi și a consolida o echipă competitivă.
”Lumea este nerăbdătoare și vrea performanță peste noapte. Este clar că lucrurile acestea nu se pot face așa. Eu nu mă justific și nu caut un alibi. Pur și simplu consider că este o realitate. Nu poți face pași mari dintr-o dată. Acum așteptările sunt mari tocmai și din cauza acestui parcurs bun”, a concluzionat Măldărășanu.

I said we would fight until the last round, and here we are with five teams fighting for two spots. The championship has truly been a crazy one. I said we have small chances because we’re realistic, we’re playing against the toughest opponent among all five teams with playoff chances. Besides that, we also depend on the other results, in case we win. I talked to the boys, no matter how small the chance is, we have to fight until the end. We can pull off a surprise. And last season we won there when no one expected it,” said Măldărășanu.
From relegation from Liga 1 to the fight for a playoff spot, FC Hermannstadt has traveled a path filled with challenges and transformations. The team’s coach emphasizes that high expectations are normal, but that performance cannot be achieved overnight. It takes time and patience to build and consolidate a competitive team.
„People are impatient and want overnight success. It’s clear that these things can’t be done that way. I’m not making excuses or looking for alibis. I simply consider it a reality. You can’t take big steps all at once. Now the expectations are high precisely because of this good run,” Măldărășanu concluded.
