Dan Șucu, acționarul celor de la Rapid București, a exprimat așteptările sale pentru derby-ul iminent împotriva echipei FCSB și se așteaptă la un rezultat foarte bun.
Mai presus de toate, omul de afaceri consideră că meciul de pe Arena Națională reprezintă o adevărată sărbătoare pentru fotbalul românesc și își dorește să vadă un stadion plin.
„Cel mai important lucru este că Rapidul a ajuns să joace în Derby-ul României. Rapid – FCSB de sâmbătă este Derby-ul României, iar cel mai important este faptul că echipa noastră a ajuns acolo, că este la cel mai înalt nivel și acolo va rămâne mulți ani de acum încolo.
Nu vreau să facem acum un obiectiv disperat din a câștiga titlul de campioană, bineînțeles că ne dorim asta, bineînțeles că ne dorim 3 puncte și vrem să învingem FCSB-ul.
Sunt convins că putem să facem asta, am făcut-o de atâtea și atâtea ori, dar mult mai important și mult mai frumos este că noi ajungem să jucăm pe Arena Națională în fața a 50.000 de oameni Derby-ul României cu FCSB.
Asta este marea realizare a Rapidului, și sunt mândru de suporterii noștri. Vom fi acolo, în prim plan, mulți ani de acum încolo. Evident că un rezultat negativ ne-ar afecta șansele la titlu, dar în niciun caz nu înseamnă că ar fi compromise 100%.
Eu cred că adevărata bătălie se va da în play-off. Însă, nici măcar nu ne gândim că am putea avea un rezultat prost împotriva FCSB-ului. Eu știu calitatea jucătorilor, entuziasmul suporterilor, știu cât de puternici suntem atunci când ne adunăm și formăm adevărata familie a Rapidului.
Atunci nu ne poate învinge nimeni. Cel mai fericit sunt că meciul a fost programat ideal, sâmbătă, de la ora 20:00, și vreau să mulțumesc Ligii Profesioniste de Fotbal. Este o șansă uriașă ca familiile, bunicii să-și aducă nepoții, să vadă această minunăție de Derby-ul României, această frumusețe a fotbalului.
Vor fi, probabil, peste 5000 de copii, care vor avea intrare gratuită, până în vârsta de 14 ani. Asta mă face cel mai fericit. Asta este marea fericire privind Derby-ul României, cu FCSB. Faptul că putem să asistăm la un spectacol, faptul că generațiile următoare pot să se bucure de ceea ce înseamnă frumusețea fotbalului.
Îmi aduc aminte cu nostalgie de acum 50 de ani când tata mă ducea la marile meciuri dintre Steaua și Rapid și vedeam duelurile fantastice între Liță Dumitru și Anghel Iordănescu. Nu mi-au dispărut nici acum, după cinci decenii, de pe retină.
Așa îmi doresc ca aceste generații de copii să nu uite nici ei duelurile dintre Săpunaru și Florinel Coman, așa cum, în mod sigur, vor fi sâmbătă seara. Asta e cel mai important, pentru asta intrăm în fotbal, asta e frumusețea pură a fotbalului.
Bineînțeles, în rest există presiune, obiective. Normal că ne dorim titlul, dar repet, nu facem o obsesie din asta. Cel mai important lucru este că Rapidul este acolo, sus, și va rămâne mult timp de-acum încolo, în primul rând pentru acești suporteri minunați, unici în România”, a spus Dan Șucu, potrivit Fanatik.

I nostalgically remember 50 years ago when my father took me to the big matches between Steaua and Rapid, and I saw the fantastic duels between Liță Dumitru and Anghel Iordănescu. They haven’t disappeared from my retina even now, after five decades.
This is how I wish for these generations of children not to forget the duels between Săpunaru and Florinel Coman, just as they will surely be on Saturday night. That is the most important thing, for this we enter football, this is the pure beauty of football.
